Elder WatchDog, LLC takes pride in being the only website that caters to the elderly that verifies all of the businesses that they list. This protects our users and ensures that they have access to the highest quality of professionals that can help them with their issues.
As part of this verification process, we request that all of our WatchDog Pro members provide the following documents to us before we allow them to post on the website:
- A Valid State ID
- A License Number (if applicable)
- A Business License
- Insurance (if applicable)
- Up to three (3) professional References
Criteria for all documents:
- Displays the same information that you registered your account with
- Be clear and not blurry
- Must in in color
- Must be high-quality and unobstructed
- Images must be scanned or taken from your mobile device’s camera (no screenshots) and display the full document (front and back, if applicable)
- Must be current and not expired, revoked, or closed (if applicable)
- Be in one of these formats: *.png, *.tiff, *.tif, *.jpg, *.jpeg, and *.pdf. Do not include special characters in the file name (examples: $, &, or #)
- They must not be altered in any way
Please note that failure to provide accurate and clear information will delay your registration process. Providing false or misleading information will result in denial of access to the site and report to the proper authorities.
Valid ID:
Every state has different ID’s, so please make sure your ID is for the state where you, or your business, currently reside. Driver Licenses, State ID’s, and Passports are all considered valid forms of identification.
All ID’s must fit within this criteria:
- Be a government-issued identity document that is distributed and recognized by the State or Commonwealth where you are a citizen
- Display a name that matches the full name you used to register on Elder WatchDog
- Be in full-color
- If submitting a passport, be sure the passport has your signature
License Number
If you run a contracting business, law office, or nursing care facility, we require that your license is sent for verification.
All Licenses should:
- Be a government-issued identity document that is distributed and recognized by the State or Commonwealth where your business resides that you plan on listing (if you plan on listing for multiple state they needed to be uploaded separately)
- Display the full name of your business (in each location if applicable)
- Be in full-color
- Be current and not expired, revoked, or closed
Business License
All businesses listed on the site must have a current business license.
All Licenses should:
- Be a government-issued identity document that is distributed and recognized by the State or Commonwealth where your business resides that you plan on listing (if you plan on listing for multiple state they needed to be uploaded separately)
- Display the full name of your business (in each location if applicable)
- Business name and details must be visible.
- The name of the legal representative or beneficiary owner must match the name of the identity document.
- Be in full-color
- Be current and not expired, revoked, or closed
Insurance:
Certain types of businesses are required to have insurance to protect the people they take care of, such as nursing homes and respite care. The following types of businesses must sent Insurance documents:
- Accountants
- Adult Medical Day Care
- Assisted Living
- Funeral Directors
- Geriatric Care Managers
- Home Care Companies
- Hospice Care
- Independent Living
- Moving Services
- Nursing Home
- Real Estate & Home Repair Pros
- Real Estate Agents
- Rehab Units
- Rehabilitation
- Respite Care
All insurance paperwork:

Professional References:
We are dedicated to protecting the elderly, and to serve them best we ask for references of everyone listed on the site.
All references:
- Must be from someone who doesn’t work at your business
- Someone who has done work with your business in a Business to Business (B2B) way
- Other people in your profession
Disqualifications
You may be disqualified from being verified on the site for the following reasons:
- Your ID is not current or shows the same name you registered with
- Your License is not up to date, is expired, or has a bad record (too many bad reports)
- Your references did not prove you to be a good candidate
- You provided false information
- If, in our professional judgment, we find that your business does not adequately serve or protect seniors.
If you feel you were not verified properly, you will have 30 days to ask for reconsideration with new documents based on your initial rejection. Elder WatchDog, LLC, has the right to deny verification to users that we believe do not fit our criteria.
