Sharing Medicare Information
Many people may be wondering when is the right time to give out their insurance or Medicare information. While it may seem like common sense, the reality is that some unsuspecting people are willing to give out that very sensitive information to anyone who even seems partially official. However, the truth of the matter is that you should only share that information with those who have provided you with health care services previously. By doing so, you ensure that services and the like are legitimate, and that scammers won’t be able to access your information to bill Medicare or your insurance for products or services you don’t even need.
The same goes for your insurance. Only provide that information to health care professionals and the insurance company itself, obviously, but only when it is pertinent to do so.
